Harrisburg Academy is the oldest non-public school in the country, founded in 1784. Facilities on the 26-acre campus include a music suite with practice rooms, expanded laboratories in the Cleveland Brothers Science Wing, the Louis Lehrman Gymnasium, and the McCormick Auditorium.
Harrisburg Academy was the first International Baccalaureate (IB) School in the Capital Region and the only to offer a summer study travel and research scholarships. 100 percent of graduating seniors are admitted to four-year colleges and universities.
